Myrtle Beach welcomes the FCS Senior Football Scout Bowl game, which will be played on December 17, at Myrtle Beach’s Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The stadium seats 4,500 spectators, 3,500 on the home side and 1,000 on the visitors’ side.

The game is relocating from New York, where the inaugural game was played. The FCS Senior Football Scout Bowl features the best players in an all-star game for college players at the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly 1-AA) level. The game features a North-South player match-up.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleer head football coach, David Bennett has been chosen to coach the south team.

Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium was re-named for long-time Myrtle Beach High School football coach Doug Shaw, who died suddenly November 11, 1994, at age 52. Coach Shaw led the Myrtle Beach Seahawks to four state football championships.
